Analyst – Communications

In the pursuit to achieve Dasra’s objective of changing millions of lives for the better, Communication plays an important role in ensuring the right messages reach out to the relevant target audience through relevant media; be it to the non-profits or the social businesses. We are seeking an ‘Analyst’ in the Communications team to drive operational efficiency with regards to digital-social media, Public Relations and the overall administration related aspects of the team. The Analyst will report into the Communications Manager.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Analyst will provide hands-on support to the Associates who manage different functions within the team, viz: Social Media, Public Relations and Design. Providing support on social media will be very critical and primary to the function. The specifics of the work are as below:

On Digital-Social Media front:

  • Executing social media plan: Closely liaising with the Associate to identify priorities and plan on a monthly & weekly basis and keep the buzz alive on the digital & social media space. 
  • Create a data bank, curate information (external & internal), populate youtube tags and ensure effective outreach.

Website updates: 

  • Coordinating and validating on-going changes with the external partner.
  • Simultaneously, ensure relevant updates are posted in sections on a regular basis.
  • Develop a database of organizations: Identify communities, platforms, organizations in the online space with whom a desirable partnership can be forged to help provide muscle to our communication and outreach on reports and other knowledge piece dissemination.

On Public-Relations front:

  • Helping with compilation of materials to be shared with media (reports, factsheets, etc.)
  • Maintaining a compilation of print mentions/newspapers and online releases for easy reference
  • Managing the database of all the media mention links
  • Creating press decks with scans and links of the release work

Salesforce (online database management application):

  • Upload data such as media mentions, report downloads, minutes of the meeting, contacts etc.
  • Generating reports and sharing with team as desired
  • Database cleanup to ensure the correctness of the contact details 


  • Minutes of the meeting for every important internal and external meeting. Sharing the same with the relevant wider team thereon.


  • Coordination with the respective teams to avail of the content 
  • Secondary search and help download relevant images, logo etc.
Administrative/ Financial Hygiene:

  • Maintaining the database of all the external partner contracts
  • Availing external partner quotes as and when desired
  • Managing invoices and their clearances
  • Manage share/common drive- folders



  • Graduate degree preferably in Science/Arts/ Commerce
  • A course in technical field or social media/digital understanding will be desirable
Soft Skills:

  • Good comprehension capabilities
  • Team player 
  • Sound on operational skills and should be able to work out projects timelines and priorities effectively keeping the deadlines in mind, especially high pressure deadlines if any
  • Interest in social media space and a basic level of awareness of internet is a must
  • Proficiency in working on Microsoft documents like Word, Excel, PowerPoint is a must


  • 2-3 years of experience in an agency set-up in Client Servicing/ Account Management, be it mainline or digital.
