•Work as a Product Manager and lead development of vision, functional scope, architecture and manage development of a cloud based Dealer Management System (“DMS”) for automotive dealerships
•Envision next generation Dealer Management System (covering all aspects of dealer operations including customer facing processes) and create a product roadmap for a cloud based solution
•Develop business strategy for the product working with other members of the team – including pricing, target market, business case, go-to-market plans etc.
•Analyse the industry trends and dynamics in automotive sector and demonstrate thought leadership with the customer counterparts to finalize product requirements and guide the customers in finalizing scope of the product functionalities
•Identify and scope out business requirements around vehicle pre-sales / sales / after-sales service / dealer management / customer-facing interactions for the cloud based solution. The solution would also need to be supported through comprehensive mobile/tablet applications
•Work as a key member of the product development team throughout the product development lifecycle ensuring that the product developed is aligned in line with envisaged requirements
•Drive any changes in the product scope with the customer counterparts as well as the development team
•Prepare and manage product requirements documentation, including scope management and sign-off documents.
•Support hiring of key members of the Product development team
•Minimum 5 years of automotive industry experience as Sales / Service In-Charge / Service Manager / IT Manager in Automotive dealerships with rich experience in vehicle service processes (preferred) / sales
•Experience with IT firms in the DMS space would be a distinct advantage
•Has extensive knowledge of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) / CRM systems / other IT tools used in the retail / service side of automotive dealerships both as a key user as well as Implementation Consultant / Product architect of such solutions
•Understands the pain-points inside an automotive dealership and able to relate automotive industry issues with IT tools and technologies that address the same pain points.
•Broad understanding of SaaS tools and products even if in a different domain
•IT savvy to work with a team of engineers and explain automotive industry knowledge and help develop technology solutions
•Entrepreneurial drive, demonstrated ability to achieve stretched goals in fast paced innovative environments with limited instruction or oversight
