Who are we? We are 3 stupid guys who have come together to start Zobtree. A brief about the 3 of us: 1. Mayank Jain - IITD + IIMA + EIR (Smile) 2. Nikhil Vij - IITB (CS) + Morgan Stanley 3. Raghav Jain - IIT-BHU + J.P.Morgan
What is Zobtree? Problem Statement: - Zobtree wants to solve the problem of highly broken/manual employee referral process because of which a company ends up not receiving a lot of relevant referral applications Idea of Solution: - They want to leverage technology (web/mobile) to create a web/mobile product connecting companies, employee and employee's friends. Scenario: - E works at Accenture. E's friend F is looking out for a job. F is a so-so friend of E. Accenture has a job opening that F might be interested in. Used Case: - E doesn't know which friends might be interested in the job-opening. He does nothing about it. If a friend approaches him, he refers him. - F does not know there is relevant job opening for him at Accenture. Also, E is not that great a friend that he will connect personally over a call/chat. So, F never connects personally.F never gets to know about the job opening. E never refers F.
What are we looking for?
Must haves: - Experience in RoR( or at least one MVC development framework like Django ) - Development experience with some of the third party APIs (like facebook/ twitter/ linkedin/google etc) - Excellent software design principles and strong fundamentals - should know how to avoid common pitfalls in memory management, understand threading, asynchronous execution, etc. - Comfortable in learning new technologies and adapting to different roles based on need.
Strongly recommended: - Familiar and comfortable with version control softwares like git - Knowledge and experience with jQuery, CSS
Bonus points for - Experience in any of the mobile platforms (iOS/Android etc) - Experience with AWS - History of open source contributions (github/bitbucket profile needed)
