GIS Web Developer

GeoSpoc is looking for a web developer having worked/willing to work on map applications and GIS. Job responsibilities will be cross-functional - ranging from design, coding and architecture to client interactions.

As a developer at GeoSpoc, you will get the opportunity to don many hats. You are encouraged to bring your skills to the table and constantly adapt to new technology.

Application instructions:

1.     Create a fiddle on

2.     Make a map using on this fiddle.

3.     Overlay 5 markers and bind each marker with their unique popup.

4.     Send the link to your fiddle, your updated resume and a covering letter explaining why you want to join GeoSpoc. If you have any samples of your previous work, we would love to see them (not mandatory).



  • Knowledge of/interest in GIS
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience in ArcGIS APIs and Leaflet would be a big plus
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap is not essential, but preferred
  • Knowledge of iOS/Android would be beneficial
  • Eye for UI design
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, standards and trends
  • Ability to think outside the box and craft innovative solutions
  • Energy and passion for working in a startup


Minimum qualification:

A degree in computer science or equivalent.
